Overview
Brand identity for a dance production that works mostly on ballroom dance competitions.
Problem
Dance brands tend to over-perform — too much swoosh, too much serif, too much "feel the rhythm." veta needed restraint.
Constraints
The identity had to hold up in motion (titles, end cards, social cuts) as well as in print.
What was broken
Nothing was broken — this was a launch. The risk was looking like every other production house with a feathered ampersand.
Design decisions
Built the wordmark with a single curved cut through the v — a gesture that reads as movement without literally drawing a dancer. Black on light, no ornament.
Outcome
A mark that holds at any size and lives on camera as comfortably as on a letterhead.
